DOA, also named Dioctyl Adipate, is a top-tier cold-resistant plasticizer widely adopted in industrial PVC manufacturing, featuring excellent stretching efficiency and barely noticeable color shift when exposed to heat processing. It can fully endow plastic end products with great low-temperature toughness, strong light resistance against UV fading, together with uniform softness and premium surface texture.
Dioctyl Adipate (DOA) is a widely adopted auxiliary cold-resistant plasticizer featuring outstanding elongation performance and minimal thermal discoloration during processing. It boasts excellent miscibility with a wide range of polymer substrates, such as polyvinyl chloride, vinyl copolymer resins, polystyrene and all types of synthetic rubber materials.
It imparts finished plastic products with remarkable low-temperature flexibility, consistent soft touch and reliable UV light resistance, delivering a delicate and comfortable surface texture. Manufacturers usually mix DOA with primary plasticizers such as DOP and DBP to produce cold-proof agricultural films, food freezing packaging films, cable insulation jackets, artificial leather, plastic panels and outdoor water piping products.
For plastisol processing scenarios, DOA effectively cuts down the initial viscosity of paste mixtures and improves long-term storage stability of the paste. Nevertheless, DOA has relatively high volatility, and its comprehensive performance in water resistance, anti-extraction migration and electrical insulation cannot match high-grade plasticizers like DOTP. Importantly, DOA has gained official safety certifications for food-contact packaging use across the US, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and many other countries.
